KMI Weekly: Index went up by 263.42 points | HALALTAMWEEL.COM
Foreign Investors' Portfolio Investment (FIPI) data reported by National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) revealed that net foreign inflow of $5.847 million or Rs 526.275 million was witnessed in Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) during the week ended on 27 April, 2012 as compared to net foreign inflow of $8.149 million or Rs 733.439 million reported last week.

Laboratories Limited (HINOON) has posted profit of Rs 21 million in 1QCY12 which showed an appreciation of 16.67 percent when compared to last year where profits stood at Rs 18 million. The earning per share also increased to Rs 1.14 during the period under review compared to Rs 0.98 in 1QCY11.
According to the financial results despatched to KSE here Friday, sales decreased by 13.26 percent to Rs 569 million in 1QCY12 while cost of sales declined by 21.23 percent to Rs 334 million. However, gross margin remained flat and portrayed a meager growth of 0.86 percent to Rs 235 million as compared to Rs 233 million in corresponding period of last year.

KARACHI: The Bank Islami disclosed the financial result of the first quarter ended Mar 31, 2012 with significant profitability growth, improved core banking operations and significant increase in other operating income.
Bank Islami has reported a net profit of Rs 92 million during the period of three months (Jan-Mar) as compared to net profits of Rs 49 million recorded in same period last year.

KARACHI: The net earnings of Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) shoot up by stellar 41 percent to Rs 69 billion during the first nine months (Jul-Mar) of the financial year 9MFY12 against Rs 49 billion recorded in the same period last year, says the notice sent by the company to Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE).
The management of the Oil & Gas Exploration Company also maintained trend of announcement of interim dividend payout by announcing cash dividend of Rs 1.5/share for the shareholders taking 9MFY12 payout to Rs 4.5/share.
