Cotton prices lessen by Rs 100

KARACHI: Cotton prices decreased along with low volumes on Tuesday on account of absences of foreign buyers and local traders are inactive due to expectation on fixing rate by trading corporation of Pakistan(TCP) and holiday of lunar year in china.


The Karachi Cotton Association (KCA) official spot rates decreased by Rs 100 and closed at the rate of Rs 5,400 per maund. The rates of seed cotton in Sindh were Rs 1,800 and Rs 2,350, while in Punjab, cotton rates were Rs 2,000 and Rs 2,600, dealers said.
