Refinery sales decline, likely to recover later

KARACHI: The refinery sales continued to show downtrend as latest figures show a decline of 13 percent YoY and 4 percent MoM during Dec-11 based on total sales of 615k tons during the month.
With recent performance, overall sales during 1HFY12 (Jul-Dec11) now show a meager growth of 2 percent YoY.
Among individual products, the MoM decline was greatly contributed by 13 percent MoM decline in sales of HSD alongside lower sales witnessed by other high-yielding oil products including Mogas, Kero and aviation fuels.
