KMI Weekly: Index went up by 263.42 points | HALALTAMWEEL.COM

KARACHI: The Halal stocks index KMI-30 gained 263.42 points or 1.09 percent during the week ended on 27 April, 2012. KMI-30 Index closed at the level of 24,382.23 points as compared to the last week's closing level of 24,118.81 points.




Foreign Investors' Portfolio Investment (FIPI) data reported by National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) revealed that net foreign inflow of $5.847 million or Rs 526.275 million was witnessed in Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) during the week ended on 27 April, 2012 as compared to net foreign inflow of $8.149 million or Rs 733.439 million reported last week.

Pak Datacom earnings increased massively in 9MFY12 | HALALTAMWEEL.COM

KARACHI: Pak Datacom limited (PAKD) has posted profit of Rs 69 million in 9MFY12 which showed a massive increase when compared to last year where profits stood at Rs 6 million. The earning per share also swelled to Rs 8.82 during the period under review compared to Rs 0.78 in 9MFY11.

Laboratories Limited (HINOON) has posted profit of Rs 21 million in 1QCY12 which showed an appreciation of 16.67 percent when compared to last year where profits stood at Rs 18 million. The earning per share also increased to Rs 1.14 during the period under review compared to Rs 0.98 in 1QCY11.


According to the financial results despatched to KSE here Friday, sales decreased by 13.26 percent to Rs 569 million in 1QCY12 while cost of sales declined by 21.23 percent to Rs 334 million. However, gross margin remained flat and portrayed a meager growth of 0.86 percent to Rs 235 million as compared to Rs 233 million in corresponding period of last year.

KARACHI: The Bank Islami disclosed the financial result of the first quarter ended Mar 31, 2012 with significant profitability growth, improved core banking operations and significant increase in other operating income.
