KARACHI: According to some industry sources, local urea sales in April 2012 to witness sharp decline of 63% approx around 140-160k tons down as compared to 400k tons in April 2011.
The cause of decline in local urea is continuous availability of subsidized imported urea which is available at a cheaper rate to farmers. And government has yet sufficient imported urea stock of around 150k tons (total urea inventory estimated around 0.95mn tons) which would be available to the farmers at subsidized rate.FFC, FFBL, Urea Prices,urea bags,urea sales
