PPL surprises market by giving dividend of Rs 2/share

KARACHI: Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has announced its financial year result on Tuesday.


Contrary to market expectations the EPS of the company stood at Rs.26.31, increased by 35 percent where the market analysts projected above 41 percent. As field expanses increased by more than anticipated. Leading brokerage houses anticipated around 10 to 14 percent which contrarily enlarged by 17 percent.


Surprisingly, AKD securities was the only brokerage house who projected Rs 2.00 cash dividend announcement along with the result which got true however the announcement of 10 percent bonus share was almost anticipated by everyone.


The net sales of the company also remain closer to the anticipation of leading brokerage houses. The net sales of the company grew by 31 percent to Rs 78,252 million.
