Pakistan is a developing country whose economy is reliant on SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises). This is evidenced by the fact that almost 90 percent of the total enterprises in the country are comprised of SMEs, which contribute 40 percent to the GDP and also playing part in providing employment opportunities to 80 percent of the non-agricultural labor (Source: SMEDA).
