Gold up at Rs 48,600

KARACHI: Gold continued its upward flight Friday as it improved by Rs 172 to close at Rs 48,600 per 10 grams in the local market but its international price slipped to $ 1,640 an ounce, market sources said.
According to Karachi Saraf Association official, tola (11.664 grams) price also went up by Rs 150 to Rs 56,700.
