NRL: Earnings down by 50pct

KARACHI: The net profits after tax of National Refinery Limited (NRL) down by almost 50 percent to Rs 1,584.60 million during the first half of the financial year 1HFY12 against Rs 3,135.94 recorded in the same period last year.
The lackluster financial result of the refinery is primarily owing to dampened lube segment’s margins along with subdued fuel segment performance.
