Pakistan fiscal deficit at 2.6 pct of GDP during Jul-Dec

KARACHI: Pakistan’s fiscal deficit for the first six months of the fiscal year FY12 (Jul-Dec) was recorded at 2.6 percent of gross domestic product (GDP), said by a Finance Ministry official on Friday.

This compared with a deficit of 2.9 percent of GDP in the same period the previous year.
