Planning Commission recommends buying cheaper gas from US

KARACHI: Natural gas prices are declining in the United States and this has made the Planning Commission in Islamabad to rethink the current plan of importing Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) from places like Qatar. It has suggested that the petroleum ministry should try to start buying gas from the US instead as prices have soared in the Middle East.
