PSIC, Akhuwat to grant Rs 1 b loans to unemployed skilled youth

LAHORE: Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) in collaboration with Akhuwat will advance one billion rupees interest-free micro-financing loans on merit to skilled and unskilled unemployed youth throughout the province.
Speaking to various delegations of skilled and unskilled youths in different villages at Sheikhupura on Thursday, Managing Director PSIC, Farhan Aziz Khawaja, said that the Punjab chief minister had approved Rs 1,000 million for interest-free loans to be disbursed among most deserving people to help set up their own business to earn livelihood, especially unemployed skilled and unskilled youths of PVTC, TEVTA, Sanatzar of Social Welfare Department and other properly recognised training institutions in public and private sector.
