12.8m bales reach ginneries across country

MULTAN: Over 12.8 million bales of Phutti (seed cotton) reached ginneries across Pakistan as of January 15 showing an increase of 19.23 per cent compared to the corresponding period last year.
A consolidated statement showing total cotton arrivals (12,823,619 bales) issued by Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) here on Wednesday said over 97 per cent of the total Phutti arrived at ginneries has been pressed into bales of cotton (lint) which comes around to 12.5 million or 12,539,447 bales.
