12mln bales of Phutti reach ginneries across country

MULTAN: Over 12 million bales of Phutti (seed cotton) have reached ginneries till Jan 1 across the country showing an increase of 17.5 per cent as compared to the corresponding period of last year.
According to a consolidated statement issued by the Paksitan Cotton Ginners Association, out of total 12,032,170 bales arrived at ginneries, over 96.8 per cent of them (11,653,613 bales) contain Phutti pressed into bales of cotton (lint).
