KMI sheds 40 points amid high volumes

KARACHI: The Halal stocks KMI 30 index lost 40.16 points on Thursday to close at 20,867.15 points as against 20,907.31 points, the closing figure of the previous session.
Market could not follow up on the gains in previous two sessions and bullish rally had breaks today with index closing in red. On a positive note though, volumes still remained at high levels. As the result season starts, investors are taking interest in high dividend yielding stocks. Capital gains in volatile market which is not following fundamentals at the moment are difficult to come-by; hence, dividend yielding stocks are attracting investors.
