Pakistan cotton prices rise to Rs 5,400

KARACHI: Upward trend in New York market increased local cotton prices, however firm trading session was witnessed on Wednesday.
The Karachi Cotton Association (KCA) official Spot rate increased by Rs 50 per maund and reached to Rs 5,400 per maund.
However, lower demand in both the international market and local market disappoint cotton traders as cotton production is expected to increase to 14 million bales.
