Bangladesh permits private entrepreneurs to import oil

DHAKA: Bangladesh government allowed the entrepreneurs in private sector to import fuel oil to run quick rental power plants and also to reduce the burden of state run Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC), a senior official said on Thursday.
Earlier the state-run Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) proposed to the government to take such measure.
