Hafeez, Dr Asim disqualified as SC suspends 28 lawmakers

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) on Monday suspended the membership of 28 members of the Parliament including, Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Shaikh and Petroleum Minister Dr Asim Hussain, as the government fails to get 20th Amendment passed.
Among the suspended members are 11 provincial assembly members, nine National Assembly members and three senators. MNAs include Jamshaid Dasti, Owais Leghari and Badshah Qaiserani.
