Govt borrowing from scheduled banks on new high

KARACHI: The borrowing of government from central bank and scheduled banks is rising significantly to meet its budgetary expenses as it rose to Rs 698.317 billion as compared to Rs 305.937 in the same period last year, according to the latest data released by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
