Cotton prices: WTO new hope

KARACHI: Pakistan cotton prices remained unchanged amid moderate volume on Wednesday however price hike is expected in few days as world trade organization (WTO) has recommended European Union (EU) to allow discount on duties of Pakistan textile goods.


The Karachi Cotton Association (KCA) official spot rates were unchanged and close at the level of Rs 5,700 per maund. The rates of seed cotton in Sindh were Rs 1,800 and Rs 2,450, while in Punjab, cotton rates were Rs 2,000 and Rs 2,750 dealers said.
